Bantam Mixed Results:
The Bantam Mixed Team gained valuable experience
at the Bantam mixed Provincials the weekend of March 30th. The team, all
rookies at a Provincial event represented the town of Parry Sound and
the Parry Sound Curling Club very well. After cruising through the Zone
and Regional play-downs, they met up with some experienced competition at
the Provincial event, falling short of their goal to become Provincial
Champions. However they gained invaluable experience that will help them
in their development.

Gore Schoolgirl results:
The Parry Sound High School Curling Team
consisting of Nicole Heikoop (Skip), Ashlyn Simpson (Vice), Allie Kane
(Second), Elizabeth Edington (Lead) and Coaches Rick Graziotto and
Stephen Webb travelled to Orangeville Feb 16 to 17th to compete in the
Gore Mutual High School Provincial Curling Championships.
During round robin play they went 3-0 and were in first place going into Saturdays semi final match up. The girls lost their semi final game to the eventual Gore Mutual Provincial Champions - Patrick Fogarty. This moved them to the consolation match up where they unfortunately lost. These young girls represented our town, school and club well and with class and ended up in the top four of all high school aged girls curling teams.
Check out the Youth curling page for a full report of this competition and a picture of the girls.
